How sealing works, technically
When a record is finalized, its canonical contents are hashed (SHA-256) and the hash is signed with CarKnown's Ed25519 key. Verification recomputes the hash from the record's current contents and checks the signature against CarKnown's published public key — so any later change, however small, is detectable by anyone holding the record and the key.
